How Puredries works
Puredries was developed from the ground up for bladder leaks: four thin layers sewn into the gusset, inside a soft cotton-blend brief that looks and feels like everyday underwear.
Here's what's inside every pair, and why each part is there.
Shop PuredriesWhy it works
Built from the ground up for bladder leaks, not periods
A lot of leakproof underwear starts life as period underwear with a new label. Puredries didn't. We worked with our manufacturer to build it from the ground up around how bladder leaks actually behave, because a bladder leak arrives differently, smells different and treats your skin differently. Every layer in the version we sell today answers one of those differences.
It arrives fast
Periods A slow, thicker flow, often a few millilitres an hour. Period layers mostly soak it up gradually.
Bladder leaks Thin as water and sudden: a laugh, a sneeze or an urge can release it in seconds.
Our answer: a moisture-wicking top layer pulls it through fast, and an absorbent core locks in up to 60 mL.
It has a different odor
Periods Odor builds slowly and is a different kind of smell.
Bladder leaks Urine contains urea. Bacteria on the skin break it down into ammonia, the sharp smell most people worry about.
Our answer: a dedicated odor-control layer inside the gusset, so you can feel fresh in close company.
It's harder on skin
Periods A few days a month.
Bladder leaks Can happen every day. Wetness softens the skin, and ammonia raises its natural pH, which can lead to redness and irritation.
Our answer: the wicking top layer keeps wetness off your skin, inside a soft, breathable cotton-blend brief.
So every layer has one job
- Moisture-wicking top layer pulls a sudden leak away from your skin.
- Absorbent core locks in liquid so it stays put.
- Odor-control layer helps keep ammonia odor in check.
- Leak-resistant barrier keeps it off your clothes, with no plastic crinkle.
Four thin layers, each with one job
The protection is built into the fabric, not stacked on top of it. Inside the gusset, four thin layers work together:
- Moisture-wicking top layer pulls a leak away from your skin quickly.
- Absorbent core locks the liquid in so it stays put.
- Odor-control layer helps keep you fresh, even in close company.
- Leak-resistant barrier keeps it off your clothes, with no plastic crinkle.
That's everything a pad does, without the pad.
Sewn in, not slotted in
Some "reusable" protection is really a pad you slot into a pocket. It can slide out of place and often needs its own rinse and drying routine.
With Puredries, the four layers are sewn into the gusset. There's nothing to insert and nothing to slide. Rinse in cold water, machine wash cold with your regular laundry, then hang to dry.
Not all leak protection is equal
